Dr. Bhuvanesh Aradhya is a Dharwad-based Consultant Urologist and Transplant Surgeon, specialising in endourology, laparoscopic urology and renal transplant surgery. He is attached to the SDM Medical College and Hospital in Sattur, Dharwad, where he serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Urology. He can also be consulted at the Kamalapur Nursing Home and the Uro Care clinic, by appointment.

Dr. Aradhya completed his MBBS in 2001 from Mysore University. He then moved to Chandigarh, studying and training at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) from 2003 to 2012. During this period he obtained an MS in General Surgery and an MCh in Urology. He also served as Registrar (Renal Transplant Surgery) at the Institute for a total of three years, before and after the MCh programme.

While training in general surgery, Dr. Aradhya gained good experience in pre- and post-operative patient care and in dealing with surgical emergencies and intensive care situations. He was involved in performing and assisting in minor and major general surgery procedures. Later, Dr. Aradhya gained valuable experience in the area of renal transplant surgery, including evaluation and work-up with post-operative care, haemodialysis access procedures, as well as laparoscopic donor nephrectomy and renal transplant procedures.

Dr. Bhuvanesh Aradhya has considerable experience in basic and emergency management of urology patients. He has performed (or assisted in) all types of minor and major urology procedures, and has received training in urodynamics and uro-radiology. Dr. Aradhya has regularly participated in academic activity such as case presentations, seminars, journal clubs and clinical research. He has presented papers and posters at national urology conferences and has 17 publications in international journals.
